On September 22, we attended the lectures of the 2015 Color Marketing Group Latin American Conference.
The welcome and opening lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Paula Csillag, president of ProCor Association of Brazil, whose mission is to integrate its members (individuals or entities) that work with color and light, supporting and disseminating research and research related to color in all productive fields and processes of human activity with which the color interacts. Some of these fields where color is present are: visual communication , architecture, interior design , graphic design, lighting, packaging, arts, health, physiology, production processes of paints, fabrics, cosmetics, among several others.
Next, John West, president of the Color Marketing Group (CMG), brought colors forecasts for the next two years, with color palettes to Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America, in addition to inspirations and trends for these cards. His theme was “Color income”: the colors sell and the right color sells better.
Still we have a lecture of Fabiane Mandarino, from of Color & Design Academy, with the theme “Color diffusion in the Media”, showing the evolution of the use of color in the media, mainly in magazines and fashion editorials, and photographers works with bold proposals in color, saturation and light.
Finally , Prof. Arq. João Carlos de Oliveira Cesar, with “Color and identity: the product to the city” theme, showed his study of colors and urban shades that he is developing in the country’s capital and its relation to history and culture of each local.
In the end, we had a brunch and the launching of the book “Communicating with Color “, by Prof. Dr . Paula Csillag, a work of interest to professionals in the areas of graphic design and digital, advertising, visual merchandising, and architecture decoration, fashion, photography and film, arts, product design, which will present a scientific approach by visual perception.
